My name is Jelena (pronounced: yeh-leh-na). "Amaranth" is the result of a long-time search for ways to express my inner world and my beliefs. The name "Amaranth" is derived from Latin and ancient Greek and stands for a mythological flower that never fades or dies, that is everlasting, as is the beauty of the jewelry I make. 

Growing up, I was blessed with a family who enjoyed travelling and experiencing different worlds, learning about and from different cultures. This happily continued after my marriage and we are bringing our daughter up in this same spirit. I have a deep love for and true fascination with the amazing sights our Earth offers. I also believe that we are not separate from Earth's energies and other higher energies, and that we can tap into these energies for our personal growth and healing.

For years now I have been an amateur collector of rocks and minerals in all shapes and forms. I use many of them for healing, by themselves or in conjunction with Reiki. The idea to make stone jewelry evolved naturally. For my jewelry, I use only high-quality stones, many of which are hand-picked by myself. My inspiration for color combinations comes from Nature, places I've visited, people I've met, emotions, inner experiences, or simply specific healing needs.  I also use Gold Filled, Vermeil, Sterling Silver and Bali Silver beads and findings.

Each piece is unique. If a certain piece appeals to you that has been sold, I will gladly make a similar design using different stones, or use (whenever possible, subject to availability of materials) the same stones in a different design, but I will not make an identical copy. I will have the pleasure of new ideas, and you will have the pleasure of wearing a "one-of-a-kind" piece of jewelry. Please note that the price may vary slightly depending on the stones used or the complexity of workmanship. Every piece of my jewelry comes presented in its individual box.
