Gemstone lore:
The color of Amazonite ranges from nearly colorless through
pale aqua to a dark blue-green, even red! Some Amazonites have white
streaks. The color comes from lead, so it's not a stone you want to
catch your kid sucking on (and yes! - kids have been known to 'taste'
stones). A
stone of the Throat Chakra, it is considered, amongst other things, to
have a soothing effect on the emotions and the physical body, to help
communication and creative expression. It is a slightly soft stone, so
don't knock it about; store it away from harder stones (such as
quartzes, rubies and diamonds).
Moss Agate is a translucent chalcedony
with mossy, fern-like inclusions. On a physical level, it is thought to cleanse the circulatory and elimination
systems, speeding up recovery from illness.
